The Board comprises skilled individuals who share the vision of the Founder-CEO of JOSH.

 

THE CHAIR of JOSH is Mr Carel Nolte. Mr Nolte holds a MA (cum laude in English and Law) (University of Stellenbosch). He has worked in journalism, broadcasting, communication, human resources and is an expert in marketing and branding. He has recently left the insurance industry to create his own enterprise. He is not only multilingual, an excellent debater but is a real doer, embraces life in capital letters and bold print and is moreover a complete out of the box thinker. He sits on the Board of BASA (Business and Arts South Africa) and is the Chair of the St Stithians College Council. He is also a serial investor in change-making activities. JOSH is indeed exceptionally fortunate to have Mr Nolte as its Board Chair.  

Mr Dinesh Munu is a partner at Deloittes Financial Services. He holds a B.Com Hon (CA) (SA) specialising in Accounting and Finance (Univ of KwaZulu Natal). He is the leader of the retirement funds group. His specialist skills are varied including pension funds, insurance, private equity and investment management. He is the SAICA appointed chair and the deputy chair of the SAICA retirement funds project group. Mr Munu chairs the audit committee of JOSH.

Mrs Linda Blackbeard has a marketing qualification from the IMM and has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry specialising in interior décor, marketing, design and procurement. She is furthermore the Chamber Manager of the Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is the link between JOSH and the business community of Randburg and beyond.

Rev Sikawu Makubalo is a minister of religion at the Randburg Methodist Church. The Randburg Methodist Church is actively engaged in helping the homeless offering a soup kitchen, ablutions and other forms of immediate material care. Rev Makubalo is an ordained minister who has a passion for justice and empowering people. He is also the District Mission Secretary of the Central District of the Methodist Church.  Rev Makubalo has been engaged with Ms Gillett-de Klerk over many years trying to seek a lasting solution to addressing homelessness in Randburg. 

Ms Reshma Singh is a lawyer with LegalWise Randburg where she is the Branch Manager. She has more than 10 years of experience dealing with problems of individuals with a range of problems. The clients of LegalWise Randburg cover the entire spectrum of financial means. Ms Singh chairs the human resources and remuneration committee of JOSH and oversees all contractual aspects of the business

Mrs Retha Zeelie is the owner of CST Governance (Pty) (Ltd) which she has owned since 1995. Her specialisms include secretarial services, corporate governance, corporate law, business law, wills and estates and civil litigation. Her clients include non-profits, small to medium businesses to large corporates. She does directors training programmes and is also the company secretary of Principal Officers Association (POA). Ms Zeelie ensures that all JOSH’s compliance requirements are met.

 

 

It is thus abundantly clear that JOSH is immensely rich in its leadership structure as the Directors have collectively a wide range of skill sets for an organisation such as JOSH.
